So, as I was saying yesterday, we are off on holiday on Saturday morning (which I’m pretty sure is more like Friday Night as we have to leave the house at 2.30 a.m.!) and am pretty much in constant preparation mode when I’m not at work (and even there I’m doing it mentally!) and this evening I had one of the nicer elements of that as thanks to my lovely friend Helen, who gave me a voucher for a beauty therapist, I partook in reflexology and a pedicure!
The reflexology was a first time for me and it was lovely. Essentially it is a foot massage that is meant to help various parts of your body just by massaging pressure points on the feet. The massage itself lasted about half an hour and although parts of it tickled a little (I am pretty ticklish in my feet), it was very gentle, very soft and very nice. Afterwards I felt incredibly mellow (granted the low light and pretty oriental relaxation music is bound to help!) and she finished off by doing the nail-painting section of the pedicure and my feetshave a really pretty pink, holiday-ish colour which is both ridiculously girlie and very cheery and I don’t care if it makes me into a stereotypical woman, I love it!
I have plenty left to do before tomorrow night (especially as we’re hoping to get to bed by 8!) but I just don’t care too much right now, it’s hard to care when you feel this chilled out – I highly recommend a reflexology treatment and in the mean time, look how shiny!:
