So the phrase ‘Hump Day’ confused me when I first heard it but as soon as somebody explained it as getting over the ‘hump’ of the week (Wednesday) it made it clear and though I think it’s important to appreciate every day and make the most of them, I also think it’s a pretty fun name!
Anyway, on to more things that I think are cute….today, for some unknown reason, I was searching for an Alice in Wonderland quote and came across a few I love so thought I’d share. Lewis Carroll really knew how to write creatively!:
10 Great Alice in Wonderland Quotes
1.”Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
2.”I can’t go back to yesterday because I was a different person then. “
3.”Have i gone mad?
I’m afraid so, but let me tell you something, the best people usualy are.”
4.”Which way you ought to go depends on where you want to get to…”
5.”Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where–” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.”
6.”You used to be much more…”muchier.” You’ve lost your muchness.”
7.”How puzzling all these changes are! I’m never sure what I’m going to be, from one minute to another.”
8.”Speak English!’ said the Eaglet. ‘I don’t know the meaning of half those long words, and I don’t believe you do either!”
9.”The Mad Hatter: “Would you like some wine?”
The Mad Hatter: “We haven’t any and you’re too young.” “
10.”My dear, here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place. And if you wish to go anywhere you must run twice as fast as that.”
Alas, if only all our minds work as Mr Carroll’s did, the world would be an even more interesting place to be!
Happy Hump Day!
